On Friday 15th March at 1.15 pm Dr Peter Kerr from The University of Birmingham will present an interactive videoconference called 'Is This the End of Politics?':

In this seminar Peter will look at reasons why people are ‘switching off’ from politics as well as the rise in new forms of political participation such as protests and internet politics. He asks whether we are seeing ‘the end of politics’ as we know it.

As part of VU's commitment to informing students of their wider choices, on Thursday 14th March at 11.20 am Mawuli Ladzekpo from The Brightside Trust will be running an interactive videoconference discussing how to start up a business and how the Government's new start-up loans and mentoring initiative can support this.

Our first videoconference this term from The University of Bristol will take place on 30th November at 11.30 am and will be ideal for students considering studying Management or related degrees.

Through the use of videoconferencing, Virtually University, a Janet Content Provider, has helped Shrewsbury Sixth Form students to aim higher. Students have been able to participate in lectures that might not otherwise have been posible.
