Barclays Retail Development Program - additional sessions

19 September 2013 at 2:24pm

We are extremely pleased to be able to offer two further videoconference dates from Barclays, introducing their award winning Retail Development Programme. These are ideal for students considering alternative routes to a degree and are open to all schools and colleges free of charge.

These sessions will take place on:

  • Wednesday 12th December between 4.00pm and 5.00pm
  • Monday 17th December between 2.00pm and 3.00pm

With the Barclays Retail Development Programme (RDP) students do not have to make the choice between going to university or getting a job. Barclays pay for a successful applicant's degree fees and associated costs as well as offering a competitive salary and holiday allowance. The Retail Development Programme is a sponsored degree scheme that combines work placements with academic progression; a Barclays RDP trainee will experience responsibility from day one and complete structured placements in preparation for leadership and management roles.

The videoconference will be delivered by Shaun Meekins and Joanna Kakouratos who head up Barclays' Employability Team. The application process is now underway and they are are keen to speak with able and passionate Year 13 students predicted at least 240 UCAS points (from 3 A Levels or equivalent i.e. BTEC) and with 5 GCSE’s grade A – C, including Maths and English. In addition, Year 12 students starting to think about their options are very welcome.

Please let me know if you have a group of students who would like to attend indicating which of the dates is best for you and, dependent on available space, I will book a place for you.

Best wishes, Rob
