Virtually University free session - The brain and the nervous system - Neuroscience from UCL

19 September 2013 at 2:24pm

*** This session is now full   ***

One of VU's themes this term is the brain and the nervous system and so we are delighted to offer our first session with University College London on Neuroscience. This will take place on 5th December at 11.30 am and will seek to promote the idea that the sciences are accessible to people of all backgrounds.

Isabel Christie will be offering a very personal insight into her journey to become a neuroscientist and her current research into the brain and the use of a new technique called optogenetics. This videoconference is designed for Year 10 & 11 and is intended to encourage students to consider the sciences despite beliefs they may currently hold about their own aptitude. The session is free to all schools and colleges.

Please let me know if you would like a group of your students to attend.

Please also be aware that the Barclays videoconference on 22nd November is full.

Best wishes, Rob
