On Friday 15th March at 1.15 pm Dr Peter Kerr from The University of Birmingham will present an interactive videoconference called 'Is This the End of Politics?': http://www.virtuallyuniversity.org.uk/Spring1308.html In this seminar Peter will look at reasons why people are ‘switching off’ from politics as well as the rise in new forms of political participation such as protests and internet politics. He asks whether we are seeing ‘the end of politics’ as we know it.

On Wednesday 6th March at 2pm Natalie Paul, a PhD student from The University of Sheffield, will present 'The Chemistry of Colour': Natalie's aim is to discuss aspects of the AS and A2 syllabus and then to illustrate how these evolve and converge during university level study in an exploration of colour. This will deepen students understanding of their current studies and provide an insight into what studying Chemistry at university is like.
