For all those who were unable to attend the Arts and Humanities Streaming Workshop at the Royal College of Music back in September, we have finally been able to put together some highlights of the event, available on youtube:

The evaluation of the Polycom Telepresence m100, a desktop videoconferencing client, was carried out by our advisers Geoff Constable and Shafiq Latif. A summary of their conclusions appears below. The full document can be read by following this link to our library page.
Introduction This report is one of an on-going series of evaluations of desktop videoconferencing software that is being produced by the Video Technologies Advisory Service (VTAS). The tests and evaluation have been conducted in accordance with the principles and procedures that you can read by following the link to the Overview of Videoconferencing Desktop software document.

May 2011 The USB-connected echo-cancelling loudspeaker/microphone systems in the table below were evaluated and assigned a rating (maximum 35) according to setup procedure, connectivity, echo cancellation, value for money, etc. The rating scheme was updated for products evalued in April 2011 and consequently the other products on the table had their ratings adjusted slightly. For a more detailed comparison of the products, please see the evaluation document.

It summarises the key features and hopefully will enable those interested to initially select which particular range of products best fits their needs.
