I am wondering how other universities are dealing with their staff access to VPN system.
I am proposing that we give all staff in the university VPN access without having to request it.
How do other Educational systems deal with this?

I'm looking for a small router to act as a VPN end point (ipsec) for a handful (<10) devices, similar to your standard home router except rather than DSL/Cable I'm going to require the WAN connection to be fibre (1000Base-X).
Ideally the device would have ~8 ports of 10/100. There seem to be plenty of devices on the market with copper uplinks but very few with fibre. I'm loathed to use a media converter, but that is a fall back position.
Anyone got any recommendations?
