Videoconferencing can provide fast and cost effective access to colleagues, peers and subject experts. However the technology involved can sometimes appear daunting. The aim of this course is to prepare you for using videoconferencing by familiarising you with the equipment and addressing the issues that you may encounter. Topics Covered

This course will prepare you for using videoconferencing for both teaching and administrative purposes. It will provide practical advice on what to expect and how to prepare. Delegates tasked with supporting videoconferencing in their organisation will find it a useful introduction to the area and perhaps more importantly an insight into how room design and technical set up can impact on their users experience.

Elizabeth described systems created and supported at her unit that support clinical research or clinical education. These are often also used extensively elsewhere in the UK, especially CRFManager. The NHS-HE challenges are described and the help that would be useful from the NHS-HE Forum.
