Martin Van Eker describes the challenge of delivering learning from autopsies to medical students based in central Bristol when the Local Authority mortuary is 6 miles away in Flax Bourton. Building on the technology available at the mortuary site, a secure video and audio solution was developed. At the Forum this was demonstrated with John the mortuary technician dissecting some fruit in lieu of human organs, a great relief to the audience.
