Free session with Virtually University - Barclays Retail Development Program
**** Note this session is now full *****
With Virtually University's objective of informing and inspiring students' wider choices and alternatives to the conventional university route to a degree, we are delighted to offer an interactive videoconference from Barclays introducing their award winning Retail Development Programme. This will take place on Thursday 22nd November between 2.00pm and 3.00pm.
With the Barclays Retail Development Programme (RDP) students do not have to make the choice between going to university or getting a job. Barclays pay for a successful applicant's degree fees and associated costs as well as offering a competitive salary and holiday allowance. The Retail Development Programme is a sponsored degree scheme that combines work placements with academic progression; a Barclays RDP trainee will experience responsibility from day one and complete structured placements in preparation for leadership and management roles.
The videoconference will be delivered by Shaun Meekins and Joanna Kakouratos who head up Barclays' Employability Team. The application process is now underway and they are are keen to speak with able and passionate Year 13 students predicted at least 240 UCAS points (from 3 A Levels or equivalent i.e. BTEC) and with 5 GCSE’s grade A – C, including Maths and English. Additionally, as a result of Barclays' existing coverage, they would like to involve schools outside of the South East for this videoconference.
Please let me know if you have a group of students who would like to attend and I will book your place assuming, one of the 3 available spaces is still available.
