English Literature & Language

19 September 2013 at 2:24pm

At the end of last year we ran an excellent English Literature & Language session from Sheffield which became a little lost in the end of term and so we're delighted to be able to offer it again at 11.20 on 3rd October.

Adam Smith will introduce analytical skills central to university study by exploring an Eighteenth Century text with students. He will also describe his route to his current PhD studies and impart his irrepressible passion for understanding the historical context of English works.

English Literature & Language: Print, Poetry and Prose: Exploring Eighteenth-Century Print Culture with Joseph Addison’s The Free-Holder by Adam Smith, The University of Sheffield on 3rd October 2013 between 11.20 and 12.20 Details

This is ideal for Year 12 and Year 13 and would also be suitable for selected Key Stage 4 Gifted and Talented students. The session is free to all schools. Please let me know if you have a group that would like to join the session.

Further VU sessions are on their way this term from the OU, Oxford, Bristol, Birmingham, UCL, Imperial, Newcastle, Liverpool and Barclays which I will email as soon as details are finalised. You can also now follow VU on twitter: @VU_Rob

We look forward to working with you again this academic year. Best wishes, Rob
