September 2010 Executive Summary With immediate effect, organisations providing a Tier 2 service need not offer WPA; however they may continue to offer WPA if they wish to. Participants should now provide support for WPA2 throughout their eduroam networks.

July 2010 Announcement The eduroam(UK) Technical Specification will be revised towards the end of this year in relation to broadcasting of the ‘eduroam’ SSID. This will require that organisations participating in eduroam(UK) that are not yet offering operational Visited or Home services must cease widespread broadcasting of the eduroam SSID from access points, however broadcasting of the SSID will be permitted in limited development environments.

SU1X User Guide There are two stages to using SU1X, first the configuration details need to be captured and the application customized for the users site. The second stage is the distribution and use by clients and a setup utility. Below both phases are described in detail. Configuration of the Utility Download SU1X First download the latest version of SU1X from sourceforge. The zip file should contain a bin folder with the relevant configuration files and executables and also a source folder.
