Will detailed user guides be available for v-scene, if they already exist I can't find them? The current video tutorial on how to schedule a conference only uses existing "people" in the system it doesn’t cover how to add a guest or add a VC room system when you don’t know who the actual participant on the day will be? This tutorial appears very superficial and doing the standard things outlined above certainly to me isn't intuitive in the new system.
I've had comments from others who believe the system now doesn't do guest sites at all.
We are aware that we need to provide written documentation along with more improved video use guides. In the meantime and to address your specific question, I'll describe how to add a guest, as it certainly is possible.
To add a guest follow the instructions below:
1. On the Start/schedule conference page type the name or email address of the guest into the left participant box. ("unknown" or "guest 1" will do if you don't know their name).
2. In the 2nd box search for the name of the VC system (from any of the shared systems on v-scene). It should pop up if you type in part of the name but you can also choose "Advanced search".
3. If you do not want to use a registered system then choose "+ Use Guest Video System", or just enter the dial-out address in the box.
4. To use a guest video system you will need to provide an email address or your guest. We may need to send them dial-in details or a URL.
5. From the drop down menu choose the guest system type.
6. If you have provided an address for the guest please help us to identify if it is ISDN/telephone/IP/SIP/ e.164.
7, click Add guest.
I hope that this helps.
Obviously the first week of any complicated system launch will highlight any bugs that have escaped the testing process, no matter how rigorous. There is nothing quite as helpful as having and another 250 testers on the first day. We're working very hard to provide more information and quick fixes where we can.
If you would like me to make any more How To videos or focus our efforts in any areas with the user manual then please let me know.

Thanks that's most helpful. If your video Tutorial on creating a conference included adding a guest site and a VC Room with a TBA participant that would cover most things that people would do regularly.

Thanks Jim.
We need to make new videos very soon anyway. I'll make sure I explain the guest process in the new ones.
Thanks for the feedback.
Tim.
