Does the European Court decision on Safe Harbour affect Box customers?
9 October 2015 at 3:28pm
Following the EU Court decision on Safe Harbour earlier this week, whereby EU-US data transfers are 'invalid' if made under the 'safe harbour' regime, our solicitor has advised that where a cloud arrangement includes the Model Clauses, then the ruling should have limited immediate impact.
You can find Box's official statement to the ECJ ruling from the 6th October here: https://cloud.box.com/s/2ldg0duwdqemetij50fuk1u4ontsqyfk
Box has said:
'Customers using the Dynamic Purchasing Service (DPS) have had a data processing addendum already as part of their standard contractual paperwork with Box, which follows the EU model clauses'
