TF-ing in Zurich
Terena, the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association manages a number of Task Forces that allow groups of experts from NRENs, suppliers and institutions to undertake joint work in their common areas of interest.
Last month SWITCH, the Swiss NREN hosted a number of Task Force meetings in the same week in Zurich, providing good opportunities for the different Task Forces to mingle. Traditionally the AIM related groups have co-located - TF-emc2 and TF-MNM, but this time we were also able to mingle with TF-Storage and TF-CSIRT. This meant a lot of knowledge could be shared about authenticating to Clouds etc. Presentations from this joint meeting can be found at http://www.terena.org/activities/tf-storage/ws16/agenda.html and http://www.terena.org/activities/tf-emc2/meetings/26/
What was particularly useful at this event was the opportunity to provide an Openspace session on how we are progressing with Moonshot to the TF-emc2 and TF-MNM groups and to also grill a pan-European service provider on their requirements for authentication and authorisation.
Notes from the Openspace session can be found on the Terena wiki: https://confluence.terena.org/display/EMC2/Zurich+Open+Space+-+12+Februa...
