NHS as Janet Business & Community Engagement Partners

29 November 2013 at 7:30pm

NHS Trusts, or other NHS organisations are eligible to be University (or other Janet connected organisation) Business and Community Engagement (BCE) Partners under the Janet BCE policies.

NHS organisations with existing sponsored Janet connections or those with other local connections should be moving them towards a Business and Community partnership arrangement. Those interested in doing something new should liaise with their potential University (or other Janet connected) partner.

An example of an existing University NHS connection that is moving towards a BCE arrangement is that described in the NHS-HE Connectivity Best Practice Working Group case study on Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and Manchester University. Mike Taylor gave an update presentation on this at the NHS-HE Forum in November 2013 and they are hoping to have a Memorandum of Understanding soon.
