Southeast Regional network re-procurement
As you are probably aware, the network managed and maintained by LeNSE on behalf of Janet will be transferred to Janet’s management at the end of September 2012. This transfer will not affect your existing service and is part of Janet’s change to the regional delivery model.
We are also now starting the process of re-procuring the physical network in the region, and need to ensure that the new network will meet your requirements. The new regional network will be live and functioning by the end of September 2014 at the latest. Again, this will not affect your experience of the network at all during the re-procurement process, but will mean that the network is able to satisfy and match the future demands we are anticipating.
To ensure the network meets your needs, we will be holding a number of half-day events across your region. The aim of these events is to give you the opportunity to discuss your strategic requirements from the network in the region post-2014 with Janet.
To ensure that the network meets your requirements, it is important to capture your views. Your input will be vital in ensuring that the new network is able to meet your strategic demands and also anticipate your long-term needs. Please do come along to the event and help us make sure your requirements are counted.
