UHD Showcase Event - 19 April 2013
Last week, we had the first UHD Showcase event at Cardiff University. The successful event showcased the Janet network by demonstrating the use of this technology for medical application. There were several demos including 3D radiotherapy imaging sent from Cardiff to the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre (PSNC) in Poland, and 3D heritage imagery from Poland to Cardiff.

The showcase event is part of the UHD Showcase project which is has participation from University of Bristol, University of Cardiff, The Digital Design Studio as part of the Glasgow School of Art, as well as input from University of Strathcylde, University of Essex and Bangor University.
