The regional infrastructure is provided and managed by janet and was the result of a joint procurement by janet and E2BN.
The East Midlands covers the area of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
There are 9 Universities, 28 FE and Specialist Colleges , 2 Local Authorities and 2 Research Centres connected via janet .

Janet is interested in getting some hands on experience with 4G, and would like to hear about trial opportunities or community use cases for true broadband mobile technologies. This group will also be the focus for discussions comcerning the forthcoming Janet 4G trial in partnership with EE.
