May 13: Health eResearch Centre (HeRC): North England - John Ainsworth

John describes the newly designated Health eResearch Centre for the North of England led by Manchester and puts it in the context of the new Health eResearch Network that involves all four centres (the three others led by Dundee, London and Swansea). The Centres and Network were launched on the 1st May 2013 by David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science and Sir John Saville, Chief Executive of MRC (programme for that event here, it is hoped some of the presentations will be made available in due course).
As well as the overview of the Centres and Network, John talks about the e-infrastructure aspects - an area where he represents the North England HeRC in the group with leads from each.
