Strategy Briefing: Mobility

This one-hour briefing will provide you with an insight into Janet's strategic activities in the mobility area, and give you the chance to ask questions and comment on our future strategy.

This event will be run by David Richardson and Mark O'Leary and they will cover the following topics:

• Janet 3G service update.
   
• Janet 4G trial - Janet is funding a small-scale trial looking to build a clearer picture of how we can evolve Janet mobile services in the future. In order to achieve a picture of the benefits and limitations of 4G we have partnered with EE to offer a number of Janet connected organisations the chance to test the connectivity, performance and flexibility of 4G data services. The findings of this trial will feed into any future Janet mobile services.
   
• Géant GN3+ Mobile Connectivity Project - On the European stage, Janet is leading an initiative aimed at developing a mobile connectivity service that will cover all of Europe, making it easier for the Janet community to roam and participate in international collaborations.

David and Mark will present on the above topics, at 12.30 followed by a 30 minute Q&A session.
