This site is for Janet customers in the London region and aims to provide a method of sharing information and ideas for our customers within London. Janet London Procurement - Order Update & Migration Process

Customers in the London region having a new connection as part of the procurement should now have received an automated e-mail prompt detailing a Target Service Date. This date represents the date when the connection is expected to be available for you to use and is based on the Target Delivery Date that the supplier has provided us, plus an additional month for Janet to complete the migration process.

Virgin Media are continuing their work to build the access component to each customer premises and will shortly complete their work at the four PoP locations in London. After this they will begin completing individual customer connections.

All customers should have received an e-mail from myself detailing the process for migration. This e-mail was sent to the nominated Managerial and Technical contact and should be distributed to others within the institution where relevant to do so.

Once a connection has been delivered, and you have received an e-mail prompt from Janet confirming this you will be contacted by either myself, Louise Cleaver or James Barron to schedule a suitable migration window. We are hoping to migrate each customer onto the new connection within 2 weeks of delivery.

I will also provide a summary table within the London group of the community website which will highlight delivery and migration dates for each connection in the region.
