This Framework has been set up by Janet(UK) for Data Archive to Tape as a Service for the Janet community. The service is intended for organisational use within the Janet community, with individual contracts being established between the nominated supplier and user organisations.

For the purpose of this Framework, archive data is defined as data that is being preserved so it can be accessed in the future and is generally data that is being retained beyond the reason for which it was first created, for example after the end of a research project.

The term of the Framework is for ten years from 20th December 2013 until 19th December 2023, with a performance review after seven years.

Webinar: Janet Data Archiving Framework - How it Works

As a follow up to Arkivum's recent webinar about the Janet Data Archiving Framework, they are running a follow-up session designed to give you more detailed information about the Framework and an understanding about how the data archiving service works. During the course of the webinar, Arkivum plan to address some of the more technical questions that were asked during the webinar on the 22nd Jan. And there will of course be an opportunity to ask further questions.

Janet Data Archiving Framework Online Briefing

Join Janet and Archivum to learn more about our data archiving framework.
