Janet6 in the news!

Over the last two days I (and many of the project team) have been on tender hooks to see if the last of the (provider) contracts for Janet6 would be signed.  I am now glad to say that we now officially have both the fibre (SSE Telecoms) and equipment providers (Ciena) on-board – phew!

From a marketing perspective, I’ve been busy over the last few weeks working with our partners on a joint press release to announce that Janet6 is now fully secured for the next decade...and possibly more.  Our very own Bob Day has been interviewed by THE and the resulting article is now live, so please check it out on the THE website.  

We’ve also circulated an announcement to the wider press to spread the good news, so fingers crossed you should hear quite a few mentions about Janet6 over the coming days.  To read the full release,  go to our news page.  

Next on the list are plans for the 4 October online briefing. If you want to find out what our next plans are for Janet6, it’s worth registering for this.

I’ll also be working on the next Janet6 brochure, with full updates on the capabilities and design plans.  But for now, I’m going to take a breather (well maybe for a day!) so over to you technies guys to get designing!....
