Latest Successful Auth from/to Site Timestamp Feature on eduroam(UK) Support Server
A handy new feature has been added to the eduroam(UK) Support server 'general' page which should make it even more useful for system administrators at participating organisations and for any staff providing a first line support function.
Now any visitor to the site https://support.roaming.ja.net/?q=general can view the time stamps of the most recent successful authentication requests handled by the eduroam(UK) national proxy servers - both from visiting users at the organisation and for members of the organisation roaming to other eduroam sites.
Introduced in response to requests from the community, this feature adds useful new information to the page to complement the monitoring system 'Status' column - which simply summarises the Nagios LG results (no known problems/possible problem/monitoring problem). The time stamp data provides a near real time service status indicator for the wider community and the inclusion of both incoming and outgoing request times makes it particularly useful for system administrators doing diagnostic work.
